Andra Onas is a passionate explorer of both the microscopic world of chemistry and the vastness of human potential. A PhD Candidate in Chemical Engineering, with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the Politehnica University of Bucharest, she embodies a great curiosity and love for discovery. Guided by her life motto, “The boundary conditions of the universe are that it has no boundaries,” Andra approaches every challenge with a sense of limitless possibility and creative problem-solving.
Her passions extend beyond science to the art of barebow archery, where precision, focus and harmony between mind and body are essential. An adventurous spirit, she loves traveling and cooking. She enjoys having the closed ones around her and sharing with them laughter-filled moments.

Since 2017, Andra has been a dedicated teacher at WowLab, where she ignites the love for chemistry in high school students. She embraces a dynamic and imaginative teaching style, loving to explore science in non-conventional ways. She strongly believes in the power of discovery-driven learning, that’s why she inspires students to ask questions, think deeply, challenge ideas and apply them in practical, creative and innovative ways.

She enjoys teaching at Wow Lab because she belives in the values that it promotes, creating an environment where science can be discovered in a fun and creative way.

As for the future of science education, Andra things it would benefit greatly from indulging in the ideas and curiosities of children, allowing them to explore, rather than simply presenting some concepts that may seem vague, or abstract.
