Răzvan Balașov is the physics teacher anyone would wish to have. With an impressive academic career – a bachelor’s degree in Physics, a master’s degree in Nuclear Physics, a doctorate in Astrophysics at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Bucharest and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chile, Santiago – Răzvan is determined to pass on his passion for science to children, helping them discover the joy of understanding the world around them.
A former scientific researcher, but passionate about communication, Răzvan reoriented himself towards education, convinced that physics has an extraordinarily beautiful story to tell, but has very few storytellers who can make it accessible to everyone.
For Răzvan, science is not just about complex formulas and abstract theories, but an invitation to understand the world and our place in space. His great passion is, in fact, outer space itself – infinite, mysterious and full of questions worth exploring.
His guiding motto is simple and meaningful: “Life is like a train station. Everyone decides which train to take and when to take it.”
